More Persistent Ways to Quit Smoking

In order to quit smoking you have to be persistent. Here are some more suggestions in how to be persistent. Don’t give up the idea of stop smoking. You have to find what works for you.

  1. You may stop and start smoking again before you actually quit smoking. Try to quit for 2 days. If you fail to try again until you can stop smoking for just 2 days. The next time add another couple of days eventually you will know what makes you start smoking again and again, and you will then be able to quit from your learning process.
  2. Cold Turkey Method-just stop altogether. If you fail to stop, stop smoking again and again until you kick the habit.
  3. One day at a time-tell yourself that you are not going to smoke today. You have stopped smoking just for today. One day at a time.
  4. Tell yourself that you are going to quit smoking; you are not going to whine about it because you don’t need that cigarette or any cigarette for that matter. Tell yourself that being a slave to that cancer stick is the stupidest thing you have ever done and you are just not going to do it anymore. You are more important to you than that. You are done. No more stinky cigarettes for you.
