Meditation is considered a cure to some diseases and disorders, especially those that are infiltrated by stress. Smoking would be a good example of being brought on by the stress factor. People who smoke use the excuse that they can’t stop smoking due to the stress in their life.

Meditation helps to relieve the stress of everyday life. It helps the person rejuvenate his mind to function more effectively. So can meditation help you to quit smoking? It is very effective for many people, but you have to be willing to practice meditation.

When you practice mediation it helps you to become more relaxed. A proven fact is that people often chain smoke because they are under stress. Your mind becomes weak from stress resulting to the deterioration of the body and the will to continue what was first a goal.  So when someone is constantly stressing, just take a second or however long you want or need and begin the process of meditation instead of lighting a cigarette.

They say to quit smoking is one of the hardest habits to break. You have to be physically and mentally ready to quit smoking. If you do not have your mind set to quit smoking, then it will not be a focus. Meditation can help you get that mind frame that you are looking for.
