What Are The Exact Withdrawal Symptoms of Nicotine?

If you are a smoker you are addicted to Nicotine. If you are trying to quit, here is a list of  nicotine withdrawals that you may get as you reduce the amount of nicotine in your body. This list is not to discourage you from quitting. It is to get your mind set on quitting. If you know what to expect you can be prepared.

  1. sinus drainage, sore mouth, cough, sore throat
  2. tightness in the chest
  3. anxiety
  4. depression
  5. dizziness may only last 2 to 3 days
  6. constant boredom or you are very restless
  7. irritable-decreases in a few days
  8. feeling of being very tired
  9. headaches – just like you were skipping caffeine
  10. having trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or bad dreams sometimes even nightmares
  11. lack of concentration
  12. you feel as though you are always frustrated, angry or impatient
  13. increase of appetite
  14. weight gain
  15. gas and/or constipation

It really isn’t as bad as you thought. Isn’t it better than heart disease, lung disease and cancer?

Also remember that if you feel like you can’t quit without help, talk to your doctor about stop smoking aids. There are plenty of them out there on the market and there is no shame in asking for help. Many people have tried to quit and fail to do on their first try. So don’t give up.
